Why most certifications skip lab access

Teaching lab interpretation is easy to package. Actually providing lab access is not — it requires a licensed ordering pathway, compliance, and a relationship with the labs. So most programs teach you to read a panel and leave the ordering as your problem to solve later.

The result is a familiar gap. You finish a certification, you understand the markers, and then you discover you have no way to order the test you were trained to read. For coaches especially, that gap is where the credential quietly ends.

The medical-director model, explained plainly

Pro-Fit closes that gap with a licensed medical director. Ordering runs under that director’s oversight, through the dashboard, so a certified practitioner can order functional panels without holding independent prescriptive authority themselves.

In broad terms: health coaches and allied health professionals order under the medical director within the Certified Practitioner scope.
