I Built the Care I Couldn’t Find.
For thirteen years I built protocols for people who could not afford to guess: professional athletes, first responders, veterans, and families who had already seen everyone else. Their labs lived in one office, their hormones in another, their nutrition and training somewhere else, and no one was reading them together. Pro-Fit is the model that finally connects all of it, and this certification is that model written down. This is the story behind it.
In 2015, Nobody Knew What Functional Medicine Was.
I came into Life Time in 2015 as a functional medicine practitioner, and almost no one knew what that meant or why I wanted their labs run. Dr. Walsh and Life Time released lab testing in the clubs, and I was ordering the most labs in the South. Working with clients on their nutrition and training, I kept running into the same wall. People had strange symptoms and bodies that would not respond, and their care was scattered across providers who never spoke to each other. Nobody was reading the whole picture. I sat with veterans who could not get an appointment for their own mental health at the VA, women who were gaslit by their doctors postpartum and in menopause, and individuals who struggled with unexplained gut issues. I knew then that I was going to build a solution that did not yet exist, and I started planning. My background is diverse in experience and has truly helped shape me into a skilled practitioner.
A Working Clinic, Behind Every Word of the Curriculum.
Pro-Fit started as a clinic. The certification came later. I first built it to train my own team efficiently, and after we partnered with a hospital system, I decided to share it more widely and develop high-quality practitioners using our proven method.
Since 2021 we have run our own integrated medical team, MD providers alongside a psychiatric nurse practitioner who works from a functional lens and can prescribe, so every case carries a licensed clinician. Our functional medicine and lab work reach clients in any state by telemedicine, and around the world. HRT is the only exception, offered in the eight states where our physicians are licensed, soon to be twelve by the end of 2026.
Our clients run the full range, from UFC and NFL athletes to active-duty government agents and NGOs, to veterans and first responders, to the everyday families the rest of medicine had given up on. Many come to us as a whole family, and we regularly treat three generations at once, because when one person gets real results they send their friends and then trust us with their parents and their kids. When the standard of care moves, we feel it in the room first, and the curriculum changes the same week we change a protocol.

The Reason One Clinic Is Not Enough.
Pro-Fit provides the clinical care behind Mission IGY6, a nonprofit that gives veterans free access to functional medicine. Veterans come home carrying what conventional care overlooks: hormone disruption, chronic fatigue, poor sleep, metabolic damage, and the weight of what they saw. Our team runs their full labs, builds a real protocol, and stays with them, at no cost to the veteran, so they can reclaim their health and go on to lead and serve at home.
Doing that work taught me the hard limit of my own two hands. The demand for this kind of care is far larger than any one clinic can hold, and the people who need it most are often the ones with the fewest places to turn. That is the honest reason this certification exists. Training practitioners who think the way we think is how this care reaches the veterans, and the families, that I will never be able to see myself.
